I’m going to split this post into two, with this one focused on the reviews I’ve just finished, and the next one focused on what’s to come.

So, the reviews for this last month of my third “year of reviews,” were as follows:

I have to admit, this year’s crop of stories… were pretty disappointing. Some of that comes from the fact that I had to make some very last minute substitutions. But some of it also comes from my tactic of choosing stories that I could see were very popular in their day but didn’t quite become classics. Sadly, for most of them, I could see exactly why they didn’t have staying power.
