New stuff?

New stuff?

I bet some of you are surprised to see this post, since it isn’t the first of the month yet. But I decided to go ahead and post a few things early, since I had so many things I wanted to update. So, what’s new today?

First of all, I’ve added two new hostees. The first is Amber’s story Standing in the Rain, which she wrote for Taking The Leap. The second is Diamond’s website, Mirage, which she has decided to re-open. I have another one in the works but it isn’t quite ready to debut yet.

Because of those new hostees and a few other links I’ve found, the directory has been given a little update as well. I still can’t believe there are over 3000 links listed!

If you’re reading my fic, you’ll also notice that I’ve updated my website today, too.

That’s it for now, but I have a lot planned to post in a few days. Of course there are the monthly spotlights, but I also have planned a huge update to the reviews section. In order to cross a few stories off my to read list and give that section a makeover, I’ll be reading six stories (one from each era) every month for the foreseeable future. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to stop when the new album comes out or go for a full year. Whichever happens last, I suppose. I’ve already read the first six stories and those reviews will be posted soon. My reading list has been updated to reflect what I’m actually reading for this project, so check that out.

Lastly, this isn’t anything of mine, but I do want to let everyone know that Renee is running Trick or Treat again, and signups start soon. So check it out! I’ll be signing up.

New things (as promised)

New things (as promised)

I may have gotten a bit ahead of myself this month. I planned on debuting one new feature this month, but actually ended up updating several things. I think you guys will enjoy it all, though. Although I’m a day early, the new monthly spotlights are posted. They are as follows:

  • Author: Ali
  • Story: Gracie by Bryanne
  • Website: Zaylor Fiction @ Tumblr

But that’s not all! Read on to see what else I’ve added.

Long overdue

Long overdue

That’s exactly what this blog post is!

As many of you probably know, I went to the Tulsa MOE. That’s why the May spotlights didn’t happen; I just had other things on my mind. But now I’m back, with June spotlights, a directory update, a reading list update, and some new chapters over on Extemporaneous.

I’ve also been talking to someone about hosting her stories, but it’s still in the works. I’ll let you guys now when it’s a done deal.

I know this isn’t much of a blog, but oh well. If you want to know a little more about where I stand, writing wise, right now, check out the blog I just posted on Extemporaneous.

Not quite another hiatus.

Not quite another hiatus.

I just wanted to fire off a short post to let you guys know why I haven’t been updating and won’t be updating for the foreseeable future.

My laptop crapped out a week ago but luckily didn’t take any files with it; it was only the battery and the hard drive was fine. I’ve traded with my dad and am working from a nearly brand new HP now. However, this computer doesn’t have a port for a phone line so unless there’s some sort of (hopefully cheap) converter, I can’t use the internet at my mom’s. Mobile broadband has just become available there, but it’s a bit out of her budget. I’ll be able to get online once a week when I can steal some wifi at her doctor’s appointments.

However… I don’t know how long this will be the case. I’m moving in with mom indefinitely while I search for a job in a nearby town to hers. Once I’ve found a job, I’ll be moving into my own apartment soon as I can. Getting my own internet, and the fastest I can, will be my number two priority for the apartment — ranking just below a bed and mattress.

What this all means is that I won’t be putting up spotlights for September, but I will try to get October’s posted as near to the beginning of the month as I can. Possibly sooner, since I’ll be in Nashville on September 29 to see HANSON. My third concert — fourth if you count an in-store acoustic thingy.

So there’s my news for now. Stay tuned for some updates to the layout of Extemporaneous while I’m briefly able to.
