My name is Bethany and I've been reading and writing Hanfic since around 2001. I've been on the fringes of the fandom for a few years, but now I'm back in full force. I wanted to create this site because I think there aren't enough award sites anymore, and I love running things like this. In addition to this site, I also run the domain where this is hosted and my own original and fanfic site, Extemporaneous.

This is the first edition of the site. It launched on September 14, 2009. The name comes from the Hanson song Got A Hold On Me. I just thought it was a cute, slightly derisive, way to refer to the people who write fanfic. All Hanson pics used within this site where found here and here.
