As We Know It
EpilogueIsaac had woken up with one hell of a hangover. Worst of all, he woke up outside of Laura's apartment, not entirely sure of why he was there. All he knew was that his decision to be there was several hours and about a dozen shots ago.
She had graciously agreed not to call the police on him, or press any charges, as long as he never showed his face there again. Instead, she called Taylor, which Isaac worried might actually be worse. But that was the thing - no one seemed to be particularly upset about the situation. Taylor was quiet, but oddly cheerful as he dropped Isaac off back at home, and told him to get some sleep before driving off again.
He always knew his brothers were oblivious and in their own world, but this was something else entirely.
That had been nearly a month ago, and neither of them had mentioned the incident again. Isaac tried to forget about it too, but there was something odd that was nagging him about the whole night, something missing.
He supposed it didn't matter anyway. It wasn't the end of the world, after all.
There were concerts to think about anyway, and as for those... well, they were actually surprisingly normal. His brothers had been throwing themselves into the shows, full force, like nothing he had ever seen before. Even Micah had been helping out and hanging around the shows, and Isaac had nearly even gotten used to his little quirks by now - thought, really, it seemed like something new came up with him every day. Also, Isaac never saw him around the buses and wondered how the hell he got from show to show. He'd found it was best, at this point, not to ask any questions and just go with it. He kept himself out of trouble that way.
Lilly had kept with the tour, and things were running really smoothly. She didn't seem entirely thrilled about the gig, but she didn't seem to hate it either; she had the sort of jaded attitude that would be typical of someone that had a lot of experience in the field, even though she looked like she was barely old enough to be out of college, and certainly wasn't any older than he was. Either way, she still sort of scared him, even on the best of days.
Being jaded was likely just a part of working in the industry for so long, and he had figured that Zac had found her based on that alone. He really shouldn't underestimate his brothers so much - they knew a lot more than they let on sometimes. But even so, Isaac had his suspicions about those two.
It didn't matter all that much to him. He actually rather liked Lilly for his brother. She had the nice, yet rough around the edges, kind of demeanor that fit quite well with Zac.
He wondered if she had a sister or something that she could introduce him to.
