Ties That Bind

1. One Night That Changed Everything

It was perfectly clear how they met: one day while Beth was shopping for her weekly groceries, she was looking for a few nice, red apples to put in her red carry basket while he was on the other side of the apples doing the same thing. He wasn't watching where he was going and bumped into Beth, knocking her bag of apples to the floor.

"Oh man. I'm sorry I didn't see you there." Zac asserted, bending down to pick up the apples.

"It's alright." Beth replied, also picking up the apples.

After picking them all up, they stood up and looked at each other for a minute.

"Oh, uh I think this one is yours." Zac handed Beth an apple.

"Thanks." Beth conveyed while putting it in her basket .

"Would you like to go out on a date with me?" Zac asked bluntly.

"Whoa, you're a get-to-the-point type of guy aren't ya?" Beth answered eyeing the stranger suspiciously.

"Yeah, especially when I see something I want." Zac raised an eyebrow.

"Are you implying something here?" Beth frowned.

"Not really, it's just I'd like to take you out on a date so I can get to know you better, plus I feel bad for knocking into you and causing this mess with the apples." Zac smiled, hoping his charming smile would convince her.

"Ok, it seems harmless, when?" Beth replied. Zac smiled wider, it worked.

"Tonight. 8:30 at Babe‘s. Where do you live?" Zac asked.

"What?" Beth uttered, taken aback by Zac's question.

"Where do you live?" Zac repeated.

"Why do you want to know where I live?" Beth eyed him suspiciously.

"So I can pick you up for our date." Zac replied looking at her strangely.

"Since I just met you, I think I'll just meet you there." Beth replied cautiously.

"Ok, see you then. Remember: tonight, 8:30 at Babe‘s." Zac reminded her while walking away backwards.

"Ok... wait! I don't even know your name." Beth called out to the man who was still a stranger to her.

"It's Zac!" Then, Zac backed into the orange stand.

"Oh mine's Beth... look out!" she tried to warn Zac but was a little late in doing that.

"Damn it!.....it was nice to meet you, Beth." Zac said, bending down to pick up the oranges that fell to the ground.

"You too, Zac," Beth chuckled and walked away.

- Later that night at Babe’s club -

"Sorry I'm late!" Zac yelled to Beth over the loud music.

"It's ok, I haven't been waiting long." Beth shouted back.

"What are you drinking?" Zac asked.

"Corona." Beth replied dully.

"Good choice, a Mexican beer." Zac nodded.

"It's my favorite, my parents would go to Mexico every year and after having it once, I've been hooked." Beth responded smiling.

"I've been to Mexico a few times, it's nice...so do you want to dance?" Zac asked returning the smile.

"Ok.” Beth agreed as she and Zac got up to dance.

- A few hours later after dancing, dinner and more drinks, Zac and Beth left the club -

"Come on, the car’s this way." Zac instructed her as his arm was around Beth’s waist and her arm around his neck, both heading for the club exit.

As Beth attempted to walk out the door, she ran into the wall.

"Ow, Zac why didn't you move?" Beth accused while holding her nose, her head tipped back slightly.

"What are you talking about?" Zac looked at her strangely.

"I just ran into you and broke my toe." Beth winced.

"You didn't even touch me, you ran into the wall and hurt your nose, not your toe!" Zac replied while helping Beth out the door.

"Ok... Mr. Zaccy... or Willie... do you have a Willie?" Beth asked falling over Zac, laughing.

"Yeah." Zac muttered rolling his eyes.

"Phhaaahhaa, your name's Willie and you have one TOO! Phaa haaa." Beth remarked, still laughing.

"Right, anything you say." Zac asserted, helping Beth into the car, then Zac walked around and got in.

"Where do you live?" Zac questioned turning towards the passenger side.

"The North Pole." Beth answered then started laughing.

"Ok, let's try this again.... where do you live, you know, your address?" Zac persisted.

"Oh my address… um 1234 Anywhere Lane, Any town USA, Phaaa haaaha" then Beth hit her head on the passenger door. "Oww that hurt, Phah haa ha.... and I suddenly remember where I lived."

"Ok, where?" Zac asked.

"In a cave!" Beth responded falling over onto Zac's lap still laughing.

"Only bears live in caves." Zac replied rolling his eyes.

"Phhhaaa haa and you're a bear!" Beth implied, still laughing while sitting up.

"If you say so. Now, where do you really live?" Zac asked again, hoping to get an answer out of his now quite intoxicated date.

"In a dog house... no wait! I can't live in the dog house. Only dogs and men live in the dog house, and you're a man, so you live in the dog house." Beth claimed as she swung her purse at Zac to point at him but hit him in the chest and dropped her purse in his lap.

"Since you won't tell me where you live, I'll take you to my house for the night." Zac divulged, starting the car.

"Sounds good." Beth answered, resting her head on the passenger window.

When Zac got there, he helped Beth out of the car and into the house.

"Nice shack you got here." Beth looked around amazed by the size of his house.

"Thanks, would you like to sit down?" Zac asked, taking off his shoes.

"Love to, Willie." Beth attempted to walk through the entryway but walked into the wall instead.

"Are you ok?" Zac asked trying to help Beth to the couch.

"Damn it all to hell, that's twice! Just park me somewhere and leave me there so I don't run into anything else."

"Good idea." Zac agreed, turning on the lamp.

"Mmm comfy.... chunky couch." Beth remarked lying down on her back.

"Would you like something to drink?" Zac offered.

"Yeah, just give me whatever." Beth replied settling into the couch trying to get comfortable.

Zac got up to get two sodas. When he walked back into the living room, Beth was asleep. He took off her shoes, turned off the light, and laid down next to Beth, holding her close to him.

Zac watched her sleep, stroking her cheek as she breathed in and out peacefully. He kissed her pouty lips as she moaned and slowly opened her eyes.

“Hey, baby.” Zac said as he took her lower lip between his. He dug his erection into her thigh.

She looked at him with a confused expression, wanting to sleep. Zac was heavy against her, pressing her down.

“So good, baby, so hot.” Zac shoved his tongue into her open lips. Beth was too drunk to protest. She moaned, grabbing his shoulders.

Beth's eyes were half closed as she kissed him back. Where was she? Who was this on top of her? Beth's eyes rolled back in her head as Zac placed sloppy kisses along her jaw, down her neck, moving to her breasts.

He unbuttoned her shirt and unhooked the bra she was wearing. Thankfully, it opened from the front. He let the bra fall open as his mouth immediately moved to her breast as he started flicking his tongue over her nipple. He breathed against it and watched it stiffen. He ground his hips into her as he felt Beth's hands move to his hair as she lazily dug her hands in his hair.

“Yes, baby. Like that. You know you want it.” Zac said softly, moving his body slightly so that his eyes could scan her body. Beth was barely awake. Zac liked it that way. He got to his knees and roughly shoved her mini-skirt up. He took her panties and pulled them down as Beth lifted her hips and allowing him to slide them down her legs. He threw them across the room.

He looked up at Beth who was smiling. “Willie, whatcha doin'?” She asked. She tried pushing him off of her, but she was far too weak and Zac was far too strong.

“I'm going to make your dreams come true, baby.” Zac smiled, looking down at her center. He took his hand and pressed it against her clitoris. She flinched under him.

“You know you want me, baby.” Zac moved his mouth to her nub and began sucking on her nub, moving his tongue down to lick her folds as he watched her lips spread. She was starting to get wet, which only made his cock harder.

Zac stuck his fingers inside of her as Beth gasped, bucking her hips. He pumped two fingers in and out of her tight heat, now slick from her juices.

“No, don't.” Beth's speech was slurred as she pushed against his shoulders weakly.

Zac replaced his fingers with his mouth as he thrust his tongue inside of her pussy and began sucking, eating her out. Beth tried to close her knees, but Zac roughly pulled her legs apart.

He brought his fingers back inside of her and thrust hard, showing her who was in charge. Beth moaned as her chest began to heave. She was getting aroused whether she wanted to or not.

Zac, being so turned on as Beth writhed and groaned, stood up and quickly undressed, letting his erection free. He walked over to Beth's mouth and stuck his cock against her lips.

“Come on, baby, suck me.” Zac smiled. His thumb brushed her lips as she opened her mouth slightly before Zac thrust his dick inside, nearly choking her. Zac groaned, letting his head fall back as he fucked her mouth.

“God, Babe....” Zac moaned.

After a few minutes of getting head, he couldn't control himself any longer. He had to be inside of her. He climbed between her legs and moved Beth's legs onto his shoulders, positioning his dick at her entrance. He held his cock tightly as she looked at him, her eyes pleading.

“Please... Don‘t.” Beth begged.

Grabbing Beth's thigh, Zac thrust into her roughly as Beth groaned. Her eyes slid shut as she panted, her hands pressing against Zac's chest.

Zac rhythmically pumped in and out of her, moaning as he squeezed her thigh.

“Fuck, Beth. You're so tight. Mmmmm....” Zac closed his eyes and felt her walls clench around him. Beth started moaning. Zac pretended that she liked it.

Zac grabbed her thighs as he pushed up on his knees, feeling himself go deeper inside of her at this new position. He squeezed her ass as he pushed her against him as he thrust in and out of her. His speed increased as his orgasm approached.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck....I'm close! Uunnnggghhh!” Zac's stomach clenched and his balls tightened as he forcefully pushed inside of her and held it as he came inside of her.

He pulled out and stroked Beth's chest. She was still and quiet, but her eyes were open. They were sad.

“You were the best I’ve ever had, so good baby - so good!” Zac moaned before he got off of her and dressed into his boxers and a t -shirt.

Beth laid there confused as to what just happened between her and this guy that she didn’t even know as he put her panties back on her and pulled her skirt back over her hips, re-hooked her bra and buttoned her shirt like nothing ever happened.

Zac laid down next to her again, cuddling himself into the mold of her body as they both drifted off to sleep.

- The next morning -

Beth awoke in a strange house.

"Where the hell am I?" Beth said to herself.

"Morning." said Zac, standing in the entryway in a t-shirt and boxers.

"Where am I?" Beth asked, confused.

"My house. Don't you remember? You wouldn't tell me where you lived. So I brought you here.“ Zac paused briefly. “Come to think of it, you might have been a little too drunk to remember anything that happened last night.” Zac chided with a slight laugh.

"Man, how can I remember anything with this headache?" Beth said holding her head.

Zac went to get Beth some aspirin and a cold glass of water.

"Would you like me to take you back to the club so you can get your car?" Zac asked, sitting down next to Beth, handing her the aspirin and the glass of water.

"No, I don't have a car." Beth replied, taking the aspirin.

"How did you get to the club?" Zac questioned nonchalantly.

"I took a cab." Beth replied quietly.

"Would you like me to take you home?" Zac asked.

"Yeah." Beth nodded.

"Ok, just let me go get dressed." Zac smiled.

When Zac was ready, Beth got up and walked out to the car and got in.

"Where do you live?" asked Zac, starting the car.

"247 Samson Street." Beth replied putting her hand to her head.

"Ok. That's between Asbury and Clark Street, right?" Zac asked, slightly confused.

"Yeah," said Beth, still holding her head.

When Zac arrived in front of Beth's house, she thanked him for the ride, but before she got out, something was plaguing her mind. She just had to get this question off her chest.

"Um... Zac, about last night - we didn't, um... you know... did we?" Beth asked eying Zac.

"I was a perfect gentleman." Zac replied, putting his hand to his chest.

"Ok, I just wanted to know if we did anything, since I was too drunk to remember." Beth looked away off into the distance, feeling ashamed that she even allowed herself to let that happen.

"Would it bother you if we did?" Zac shrugged.

"I don't think I could deal with it. I mean, I don't even know you that well to even think about doing that with you." Beth answered, a slight frown crept on her lips. She knew he was lying but she couldn’t prove it. She remembered bits and pieces of the previous night but probably not enough to convince the police that he might have forced himself on her.

"I understand." Zac smiled again before asking. “Can I see you again?”

"I’m starting school again next week, give me your number and I’ll call you - when I‘m free.” Beth replied reaching into her purse, getting a pen and paper and handing it to Zac. Once he wrote down his number he handed the pen and paper back to her. “Thanks again," Beth affirmed as she got out of the car and headed into her house, having no real intentions of calling or seeing Zac again.

- About six weeks later -

Beth was in the bathroom surrounded by 20 empty pregnancy test boxes, the test sticks and instruction papers strewn all over the place.

"JJJJEEENNN!!!" Beth yelled to her roommate.

"Yeah?" Jen said, through the bathroom door.

"Get in here NOW!"

Jen walked in the bathroom to find Beth sitting on the floor with all 20 pregnancy test sticks on her lap, and tears streaming down her face.

"What's the matter?" Jen asked worriedly.

"Either there is something extremely wrong with my body that it's causing me not to have my period for almost two months and making all these pregnancy tests reading positive, or I am losing my mind." Beth affirmed picking up a positive test before dropping it back into her lap.

"Have you slept with anyone within the last two months?" Jen asked looking down at Beth.

"No. I went out on a few dates, but that’s it." Beth replied half heartedly.

"Are you sure?" Jen persisted.

"I'm positive, I would remember if I've slept with someone... oh, God!" Beth said aloud as she dropped her head into her hands.

"What? What’s wrong?" Jen rubbed Beth's back, trying to comfort her.

"I just remembered that date I went on a few weeks ago with Zac. Remember that guy I told you about that I met in the grocery store? He mentioned to me the next morning that I was too drunk to remember anything, but Corona's don't get me that drunk. I've been drinking them too long, I know they don't."

"Sounds like he slipped you something. I think we should go to the police station to file a report." Jen suggested.

"But, what can they do? It happened months ago. I have no proof that he raped me. I can't even really remember what happened, so they can't arrest him!"

"You're carrying a child that was conceived from a rape. I'm sure there is something they can do."

So, Beth and Jen drove down to the police station and filed a report with Officer Danielle Adkins. Zac was arrested for sexual battery, with other charges pending. He was held in jail until he appeared in front of the judge two days later.
