Length prologue and 13 chapters
Status Completed (second in a series)
Although not significantly longer than the first story in this series, Time of My Life covers a lot more ground, and provides an interesting look at Taylor’s point of view. After the abrupt ending of the previous story, it would have also been interesting to see things from Zac’s point of view, but the distance and perspective Taylor provides makes this a great continuation of the series.
Zac and Taylor make up quickly, leaving room for plenty more drama in the rest of the story. Most of that revolves around Zac’s roommate, Jake, who it just so happens is also gay. The history that they have together isn’t exactly what Taylor expects… or is it?
Rachel teases us with the possibilities–stolen glances and whispered conversations, Zac’s confession that the two of them have formed their own band (Hanson is a thing of the very distant past), and finally… Zac and Jake are caught in the act. The reality is worse than Taylor, or I, could have imagined, and I won’t spoil it for you now. The last few chapters are a roller coaster ride, with Taylor’s understanding of the situation changing by the second. The truth isn’t fully revealed until the final chapter, and just like the first story in the series, the ending is left wide open… allowing for one more story to wrap everything up once and for all.
