Oh man what can I say about Truth Is a Whisper? Well it’s a long story that took me maybe two years to read and by long I don’t mean just the number of chapters I also mean the length of some of the chapters too was massive.

But in spite of length and longness it is and was a good story to read. The concept was sort of original in nature. Zac and Taylor both meet someone on online and fall in love, neither knowing that the person they are talking too is their brother. That was the main gist of the first story them falling in love and then the big reveal which well it had some drama that got quickly resolved.

Which lead to story two which was a bit longer and had more drama as Taylor and Zac adapted to life as lovers and brothers as well as ending their own relationships with their wives and story two also introduced my favorite character of the whole story, Carrick. There was just something about his presence that I loved and how he always seemed to complete Zac… maybe a bit more so than Taylor did even.

Story three was probably my least favorite out of all the parts though and it dealt with Zac/Taylor/Carrick all deciding to do a threeway relationship because well they couldn’t make Zac choose between them and while I’m all for a threeway relationship I just felt Taylor had way too much jealousy for that to ever work even if a one shot after the ending story says that it’s still going. It just feels that one day it will collapse around them.

Also by story three I was just not seeing the initial spark that Zac/Taylor had in the first story. By story three I think I would have been okay if Zac and Taylor had broken up and it was just Zac/Carrick, mainly because their bond seemed so much stronger and well it had always been there based off one shots set before the story actually started. I just never really bought the whole if any ship was gonna last if the threeway ended it was going to be Zac/Taylor because well by story three they just didn’t have that UST appeal nor did they seem to have the thing that made them come first in each others hearts factor either. All they had was their words and even those seemed empty at times.

I also felt like Taylor’s jealousy wasn’t really wrapped up well in story three. In one of the last chapters we have a scene with Zac/Carrick talking but I feel that scene would have been better suited for Taylor/Carrick.

But despite my qualms with story three, Truth Is a Whisper is still a really good story as a whole. The way their relationships are shown and the way they grow was good. Carrick was really likable and Zac was adorable and while I hated Taylor by the end of story three he was amazing in stories one and two and for half of three and I’d recommend this story for anyone looking for a good read though I don’t know if I’d reread it mainly because of what a mammoth it is word wise.
