Songs Left Unsung is a story I must admit I only went into reading because of the Zarrick ship. I am a huge shipper of them and I had read Bethany’s previous works and loved them and I knew she also too loved Zarrick but she also loves Zaylor and this story was a triangle with both of those couples something that at times during the story made me nervous for the final outcome and it may also be the last time I read a story just because of a certain ship because god damn the angst nearly killed me as did the suspension of what was to come with every chapter.

Besides reading for the ship though I quickly fell in love with her Zac who the story is told from. He was believable and like a broken lost little puppy. Something a lot of Bethany’s Zac’s tend to have in common but I am a sucker for that so I ain’t complaining a bit.

While I loved her Zac I am not sure I was too keen on her Taylor. He was just that character that I loved to hate and I really do think I am in the minority of not liking that Taylor or even rooting for Zaylor in that story period but hey sometimes everyone has to be in the underdog category when it comes to ships and teams at some point in their life when it comes to fanfic.

Now that the story is done I am kind of sad to see it go. I am sad that I will no longer get to see things from this Zac’s point of view especially seeing how his relationship with Kate goes still mainly because I was a huge fan of the fact they were able to stay friends through everything. That’s very rare in Hanfics. Usually the wives are portrayed as bitchy or even sometimes one dimensional and flat.

Though I really loved how everything wrapped up even if some characters may not have gotten a happy ending but such is the way of real life and sometimes fanfic needs to show real life stuff and not be all sunshine and rainbows.
