The third and unfinished story in this trilogy sees all of the characters, even the original ones who barely appeared in the previous two, getting a little more screen time and a little more drama.
Unfortunately, the crossover plot is back in full force, too. The angels make multiple appearances, to nearly every character, and a fallen angel even shows up near what I suppose was meant to be the climax of the story–if the story had been finished.
Aside from all of that, which doesn’t work for me but might work for Christians or fans of the television show Touched By An Angel, Angels Unaware is mostly just a nice little drama, with some more adult problems than the usual Middle of Nowhere era fic. That makes sense, given that the author wasn’t a teenybopping girl, but I still think Stephen’s other stories might be more to my taste than this trilogy.
