The fabulous Bethany & Amber wrote a Zaylor fiction called Bled Dry.
I saw it being advertised awhile back and read it all the way through. It was easy to fly through the chapters, as the story seamlessly told itself throughout the character’s interactions with each other. Bled Dry was my first “Zaylor” story I have ever fully read. Zaylor is Taylor Hanson X Zac Hanson. And yes, it is exactly what you are thinking. I never thought to fully read a Zaylor because I have always been turned off by the idea of reading about incest, especially two Hanson brothers dipping into each other sexually. However, I have to say that if it’s well written and thought out, it can be almost exotic to read. What makes a good story however, is if you could remove the two characters as brothers and still have the same story. The answer for Bled Dry is that yes, the story would still be well thought out. It’s not SO “Hanson-y” that the Zaylor cannot be an enjoyable read, given you like to read about homosexual BDSM fun.
Granted, this story was written mostly to be a Zaylor smut but I find a deeper meaning within the character’s and story line. Scott Moffatt shows up backstage at a Hanson concert and walks in like he owns the place. Zac Hanson puts his guard up, which to me is a very realistic scenario. Taylor Hanson is more intrigued than what he should be. Within the story, Taylor and Scott develop a Dom/Sub relationship, albeit Scott is the one that pushes it. Zac gets curious and ropes himself onto big brother Taylor, and they have a quickly-lived Dom/Sub relationship. For me, the smut storytelling brings out the longing that all three men have. The longing for a true connection with someone. All three men come across as extremely lonely and vulnerable in their own right, and wanting to feel loved and wanting to please someone else. Scott, Taylor and Zachary are in a desperate attempt to find that connection of a strong emotional hold with someone; along with a great sex life which all three are missing prior to the arrangements between the characters.
While there is a sequel in the works, personally I find that it is going to break up the smoothness of the character development. Also, with the plots and the character developments, I feel that they could have continued this story effortlessly and finished it with some kind of a resolution without needing a sequel.
Scott’s arrogant attitude was starting to get on my nerves, which means the authors have done a fantastic job in the making of his character development. The ending is one of those story lines where it makes your heart sink, and you end up feeling bad for one of the characters that always seems to get the short of the stick. It also brings out how the character of Taylor makes decisions on a selfish basis, and he has a hard time being honest because he doesn’t want to burn bridges that he may be able to take advantage of later.
