If you’ve read the first two stories in this series, then you’ll know more or less what to expect from Infinity. While Morgan doesn’t tread much new ground in this final story of the series, it does wrap everything up nicely, even when at times it seems like Zac and Emily are destined to suffer forever.

One little plot thread concerning Zac was left, shall we say, untied at the end of Desire, and I had a feeling Morgan would do something with it in this story. She doesn’t disappoint, and I appreciate that a lot of the story’s drama revolves around Zac rather than Emily, because at times, I don’t like how Emily reacts to various events in her life. Still, Zac and Emily seem to be the focus of everyone’s lives, making me wish that a few plot lines concerned other Hansons rather these two or other original characters.

In the end, even after Zac has recovered from serious conditioning that verges on Stockholm Syndrome, the plot goes back to focusing on Emily and the other original characters. At least her stalker drama seems to finally be resolved once and for all, and a new, antagonistic character is redeemed by her role in stopping said stalker. Some scenes are glossed over or described by secondary characters, which I actually don’t mind for once, because some events would have been really unpleasant to read in great detail.

After that, the focus moves back to domestic drama and the dozens of babies everyone seems to have. It’s all a bit too much to keep up with, and for once I find the stalking and violence more interesting to read about. With fewer deviations from Zac and Emily’s perspectives, the plotting in Infinity is stronger in some ways than the first two stories, but it’s not surprising that one hundred and forty nine chapters have too many characters and plot twists for me to keep up with. Still, it all ends with a happy ending so that I can’t really imagine any other way to wrap up the whole roller coaster ride of a series.
