Brothers Keepers is the first chaptered fic I have read by Aimster. I skimmed Lust and one day I have plans to read it fully and I have read a few one shots by her so when she announced the idea of a short story posted over seven days I decided to give it a try and I wasn’t disappointed.

Brothers Keepers has an interesting premise of Taylor and Isaac being kidnapped during a tour stop in Miami and Zac being left as the one who has to get them back as well as paying a hefty sum of money to their captors.

I really did feel like I was on the edge of my seat while reading this story. Always wondering if Zac would get the money or if Isaac and Taylor would die somehow. Luckily thank god Zac did get the money and Isaac and Taylor survived though not without some drama during the final exchange near the ending.

The last chapter of the story also doesn’t really close up some major threads but it does at least give a hopeful outlook for the brothers as well as answering a question on the girl who was taken with them, a twist I may have seen slightly coming thanks to something said in chapter six of the story but still just the same I was shocked a bit.

I think the best aspect of this story for me was probably the brother’s bonds and also Zac and how determined he was to get his brother’s back, not to mention his bad ass scene towards the end. I may have also slightly liked his interactions with Natalie too but I’m a self proclaimed Zac/Natalie shipper and I’ll take them romantically or as a brotp.

I do have to wonder though like I said about the major threads not being closed if Aimster has plans for a sequel or something to provide closure because even with the twist ending it’s never really verified why the boys were taken. Though I can only assume why given something that is said in chapter seven but again it’s not confirmed. But even with such an open ending it’s still a good story and though I prefer more happier fics over the suspense and thriller fics I think I’d read more stuff by Aimster because it’s apparent she knows what she is doing.
