The Kindred is another one of Aimster’s fics that I have read in full and to be honest I’m always a bit wary when I read her fics just because some of the content can be dark but I’m glad I read this one and gave it a chance.
I mean how could I skip a fic based on cloning and conspiracies? I do love conspiracies anyway so fanfics that have them are a major plus for me.
I loved the way The Kindred started off strong too. With Taylor being attacked and how things unfolded from there. Where we very slowly get answers…like that Taylor’s been cloned. Which I have to say I just love the idea of multiple Taylor’s running around.
We also get introduced to all the clones in a scene towards the end that I really loved. Mainly because one of the clones named Jesse was just a comedic relief and I hope he stays around for the rest of the series. Jesse is probably my favorite clone while I’m kind of wary of some of the others.
I was also a fan of the brotherly relationship that Aimster wrote. Especially the one with Isaac/Taylor and how at times Taylor was more open with Isaac rather than Zac and even at times Natalie. It was just a nice little touch and maybe now after reading the whole thing I should have seen the twist ending coming but I didn’t.
Which I think the ending..oh man the ending was enough for me to if I was grading this I’d give it a solid A on that alone. I truly didn’t see it coming and now I wait on the edge of my seat for the next part in this series.
