Kindred 4: The Nerd is the fourth story in a series that is slowly becoming one of my favorites. I’m not sure exactly what qualities make it one of my favorites but it is becoming that way and it’s not every day I get faves in fanfics because I can be picky.
Kindred Four though picks up a few months after Kindred Three ended and of course it picks right back up in the action of things. I really liked how in the chapters after the first one Aimster went back to show the build up to the scenes in the first chapter.
It was a nice little thing and gave a bit more insight into things. I also found myself while reading this kind of rooting for everyone along the way probably more so than I usually do and I think that was mainly because the character who I see as the brains of the clones, Alex was in trouble and couldn’t really help them out as much.
Thankfully though Jesse almost single-handedly comes to the rescue again and now it seems like they are all on the run. Which may not last for long given the ending and what happens to two of Taylor’s kids. Also Mark found himself in trouble but not with the clone variety.
Which I can’t wait to see how Aimster handles both of those in Book Five.
I have to say though despite loving this story I kind of wish it had more Hanson’s than just Taylor’s family. It just felt a bit weird only seeing Taylor and I really missed having Isaac and Zac so I hope they show back up in the next story.
