Kindred Five: The Kids is the fifth installment in Aimster’s Kindred series and as the title suggests, it is about kids. In this case Taylor’s.

This story unlike a few others pick up almost right after the events in Kindred Four, which was nice for a bit because sometimes time skips in series’ aren’t necessary. Especially if you’re like Aimster and create a lot of cliffhangers.

I have to say I liked this story better than Kindred Four but that may have been because it dealt more with the Hanson’s again and while I love the clones I’m reading the series for the Hanson’s, not them. So it was good to see Isaac and Zac as well as Taylor’s kids and also see less of the clones.

This installment also finally saw a pay off in one of the many cliffhangers in this series and that was Carey finding out about the clones and how they aren’t supposed to reproduce yet Taylor..and as revealed in this series he have done.

His reaction was nice and it was fulfilling to see a character get angry over something because I feel sometimes with this series their anger and emotions get glossed over or sometimes fall a little flat. Though maybe admittedly it’s also just me thinking what I’d do in their situation.

The ending of Kindred Five was great and I’m looking forward to Kindred Six and seeing how Aimster wraps up the cliffhanger she ended Five on. Though speaking of cliffhangers I’m not sure how Aimster keeps track of them all. I’d be having issues if it were me.

But she seems to do them well even if I think sometimes the wait for some to get resolved can be a little too long.
