Behind Walls is a new Zaylor fic that has a good plot and premise. Zac trying to deal with his feelings for Taylor. It’s a plot done a thousand times and I’m always a sucker for stories that involve it.
This story I had really wanted to like and I did like it in some ways but in others it just failed to really be my cup of tea. While the smut scenes and descriptions there of where good most turned out to be dream sequences of Zac’s. Which while believable also got a tad boring.
Also the description in the story was well done but I feel Cad could have cut back on the long paragraphs as they had a tendency to make the chapters feel like they drug on way longer than what they actually were.
I was a fan of the Zac is blind bit in this fic too except it didn’t feel like it got a proper pay off nor did the nightmares plot line that Zac kept having throughout the fic either.
The ending also felt kind of abrupt, just ending right after Zac and Taylor finally have sex for the first time. It was just kind of disappointing.
All in all the fic was okay smut and the descriptions being it’s strong point but I just wish there had been more of it to finish out a lot of the dangling plot points like Zac’s blindness, Zac’s nightmares and what they mean and what exactly happened after Zac and Taylor had sex for the first time.
