Kindred 9: The Twins is a part of the ever growing Kindred Series and I must give Aimster kudos for how well she cranks this one out because I wish I could crank fics out this fast these days.
It’s also a fic centered around the twins as the title gives way and I must admit I was leery on if I would like this as much because I just don’t like the twins or maybe Carey as much as I do some other clones. Though I do like Carey’s wife Emma and because of what happened early on in this fic this story did have more Emma than Carey so I was kind of happy in that department.
I just loved how Aimster wrote Emma in this fic even if I do think she maybe treated Mark unfairly because what happened to Carey while it was Mark’s fault in ways it was also more the mob’s fault and I half felt like she was just looking to blame Mark and take her anger out on Mark since she couldn’t the mob men.
I also liked all the scenes that took place at the labs and I feel like the tension between Damien and Alex at times was so believable and now I just wonder how much longer can they keep living in the same place. It just feels like it may all go to shit soon.
I’m really excited for the next story in this series just to see where things go now especially with the Carey situation as well as Alex and Damien and I must say the ending of Nine was a nice reprieve and didn’t actually involve a kidnapping or anyone in great peril except for the character who had been hurt early on in the story.
