Remember Me is a small mini fic set in the same universe as KT’s Cricket. Except it’s not from Cricket’s point of view at all.
It takes place in Taylor’s point of view after he dies and he is in some sort of after life limbo, stuck in the treehouse in the backyard of his family’s house which at times makes me kind of sad for him because he can’t interact with his siblings whenever they come up to the treehouse to try and talk to him.
This mini fic though was a nice addition and had some things that weren’t seen in Cricket like a scene of Zac going to the treehouse to talk to “Taylor” as well as a few flashbacks and I loved the new material it gave. It was a nice break away from seeing things through Cricket’s eyes and seeing the story in a new light so to speak.
KT though is really good at how she writes characters you can feel for and connect with and this story once again hooked me back into this universe as well as made me wish there had been a way for Taylor to actually talk to his siblings one last time.
The ending was great and I loved how it was left open what the actual after life is like. I just wish the story had been a bit longer, just a tiny bit because saying goodbye to fics when they are done especially when they are so good always sucks.
