Don’t Stop Me Now was a Hanfic I decided to reread for a second time to see if I could maybe the like characters a bit more or even the main ship. Because to be honest the first time around I wasn’t a huge fan of Ryland or Zac/Ryland.
I found Ryland to be too childish at times and Zac/Ryland were just too toxic for each other.
During the reread I was much better on Ryland because rereading I somehow caught on that time did skip some whereas I somehow missed that the first time around so some of the demands Ryland makes of Zac seem more believable now.
Even if I’m still not okay with mistresses in affair fics asking the other person to leave their spouse but maybe that’s because of a personal bias I have.
I still do think Zac/Ryland are toxic for each other and I’m glad they even acknowledge that in the epilogue. It’s something that needed to be acknowledged because it’s something that was obvious from the start of their affair. So I can only hope in the stories that come after this that Lindsay has them both grow individually before they get back together..if they do.
I only say if because I think I kind of like this Kate even despite her flaws and I almost wouldn’t be opposed to Zac/Kate being endgame.
After all Zac in this has his flaws but then again most every character in this fic does.
Now that I’m done with this reread I’m looking forward to reading the sequel.
