What can I say about Darling other then it really isn’t the typical Zaylor story you would find. No it’s much darker than that. It’s a typical cat and mouse game between Zac and Taylor that is of course initiated by Taylor but the results are one you wouldn’t see coming. Though maybe you could as I feel there was a lot of foreshadowing now that I look back on it. Especially in one chapter from Taylor’s POV.
I know even with the foreshadowing and being warned about the dark nature of this story I didn’t really expect what happened to happen. Nor do I know how to feel either. On one hand I am left feeling sorry for Taylor and on the other I want to say he got karma for all the years he willingly played with Zac’s feelings for him. You can only push someone so much before they break and Zac was close to breaking from the very first chapter.
I do love how it ended though and feel like it could have worked as a stand-alone story too but I am definitely looking forward to the sequel to see just how things go for Zac and for Taylor. I don’t know if I want them together but I’d like some peace between them now…or for a little bit anyway. I don’t see how peace can last with the way it ended for both.
