This month’s spotlight is another one of the awesome new friends I’ve made in the last year, since the launch of the Hanson App (which was launched yesterday, the day this should have been posted).
Galadriel has her own Hanson fansite, Fanson Land, which is home to her stories. You’ve probably also seen her site HITZ Fan Fiction spotlighted here. In addition to those two, you can read several of her fics on Wattpad.
Why did you start writing hanfic? How long have you been writing?
I had written other fan fiction before writing a hanfic, and decided one day to try writing about my all time favorite band. I started writing short stories as a kid in third grade.
You’ve post your fic on a personal website and on Wattpad. Which do you prefer using?
Wattpad seems to be easier to work with. A personal website is a lot of work.
What are your favorite hanfic stories and authors?
I love to read Madden’s fan fic. Especially Ten Years And Muses, and her sequel to that.
What is your writing process like?
I write my stories in a notebook first, and then edit it as I type it into my laptop. I may add things in or take stuff out depending on how I am feeling about it then.
Where do your ideas and inspiration come from?
Some of it comes from watching General Hospital or past soaps I used to watch, and and the rest comes from life experiences that I have been through.
Which stories are you most proud of having written?
Follow Your Heart. It was the first one I wrote, and the one that I was able to keep going. The rest I kind of lost the inspiration for and am still waiting to finish.
Favorite songs to listen to while you write or which inspire your writing?
Usually songs from Hanson themselves. I just kind of put my Hanson playlist on shuffle, which consists of their biggest hits down to the rest of their music.
