A long time Hanson fan and prolific chick lit author, Tara only recently decided to start sharing some of her hanfic with the world. Naturally, as soon as I saw this, I had to interview her!

Why did you start writing hanfic? How long have you been writing?
I can’t remember how I come to start writing it. I just remember writing when I was a teen a little while after Hanson first came out. My stories were about all of them but the love interest always was Taylor, he is the same age as me. But I guess as to why was because I loved writing in general, and having writers already in the family it interested me so I guess the first real stories where Hanson ones! I had even gotten my friends into writing it but they seemed to write about Backstreet Boys!
Do you write other fiction and/or fanfic as well? If so, what genres/fandoms/etc?
I don’t write other fanfics at the moment, I have written a Backstreet boys one with my friends when I was a teen but nothing other than that. As for fiction I do write mainly R romance and chick lit, I have been writing those for some time on and off since I was a teen.
What are your favorite hanfic stories and authors?
I’ve read a few but my fav Hanson fanfic and author is Sarah Todd. She writes lots of Hanson fanfic and my fav book of hers is Follow Your Heart.
What is your writing process like?
Well, it consists of a lot of interruptions.. Kids! Lol but normally I write four days a week with lots of tea and maybe something to nibble on with loud music LOTS of music!
Where do your ideas and inspiration come from?
Everywhere. I might just be doing some house work and look at something and I”ll have an idea and usually it bugs me till I get it started. I can’t just write it down for later, I have to hash out a chapter! I find music inspires me a lot.
Which stories are you most proud of having written?
Well since I have only really posted my first Hanson fanfic lately and it only has one chapter.. I guess at the moment I’m most proud of my Side Effect series, and my newest Dark Side series, my first series, because I didn’t stop, I just kept coming up with ideas. And my newest because well my writing has changed in this series and I feel it has made me grow as a writer and I have learnt so much from Wattpad!
Favorite songs to listen to while you write or which inspire your writing?
Hanson have inspired my writing at some points .. but I listen to a wide range of things from pop to rock. Lately I have been listening to Paloma Faith, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Adam Lambert, but right now Backstreet Boys!
