It’s that time of the month again–spotlights time! But before that, I want to talk about something you may have seen promoted on my twitter and tumblr.

There is now a PTH newsletter! It’s something I’ve debated doing for a few years now, but finally decided to stop being lazy and do. It will come out once a month, on the first Friday of the month (debut issue out on February 5), and will feature updates from PTH, Extemporaneous and all around the web. Hopefully it won’t keep you all from coming here to get the news, but it will be the absolute easiest way to get all the latest hanfic news and updates delivered right to your inbox so you never miss anything.

If that sounds like something you would be interested in, either click here or fill in the little subscription box over there in the right sidebar. You’ll get a confirmation email with a link to click on to verify your subscription, and then you’ll get the first issue on Friday.

After you’ve done that, check out the spotlights!

Pretty quick turnaround this time, huh? Maybe I’m really turning over a new leaf for the new year. Who knows? Whatever the reason, I’m glad to be able to post all of this so soon. And I’ve got quite a few things to talk about this time.

First of all, check out Extemporaneous for some updates on old fics and the first chapter of a new fic series. There are also some new and old oneshots on the site that I’ve forgotten to add in the past.

After that, come back here and check out the new and updated Crossovers page (linked over there on right). It’s in better order, with better examples, and I think it’s a lot more informative.

After that, check out my reviews for January. The fics this time were…

I mentioned this on Twitter the other day, but I’ll say it again. I’m really excited for what 2016 has in store for the hanfic world. I just have a good feeling about it, whether or not they’re really going to surprise us with that new album they keep saying isn’t coming soon.

So, to kick things off right, I’m bringing back the spotlights! Here are the features for this month:

Well, it’s taken a while, but when doesn’t it? And there were changes to my schedule, but again, when aren’t there? But the reviews for December are finally done, and now I’m off to enjoy some fresh Christmas cookies to celebrate.

While I’m still working on the reviews for this month, I’ve got my monthly updates all finished. Like the title says, these are for the geeks out there. The Trivia page has been updated with some corrected information, as well as new stats for story length and more. Some of these will be updated periodically, and while some are approximate, I think they’re still pretty interesting. I’ve also updated the Timeline with some additions, corrections and of course, the entire year of 2015. So check all of that out and come back in a few days for the reviews!
