June reviews!

June reviews!

It seems like these reviews took forever, but they really didn’t. In fact, they went pretty smoothly this time. Here they are, and I hope you all enjoy them. The stories this time were:

I also have a bonus review from Elizabeth. This time, she has reviewed Family Ties by Renee P.

And for next month, in addition to doing Camp NaNoWriMo, I will be reviewing the following stories:

And that’s it for now! Check back next week for that “essential hanfics” list I mentioned last time…

Before I get to the spotlights, how about some other news?

First, I have finally finished my directory fixes. Somehow, I had over 200 broken/incorrect/duplicate links! They’re all gone now and every link that remains is as accurate and useful as possible. I’m disappointed to be so far away from 4,000, but I’m glad that things are cleaned up and just generally better now.

Second, as I announced on twitter a few days ago, my Brazilian affiliates over at Hanson Fan Fics will soon be translating my Sweetest Downfall series to Portuguese. I know I have a few Brazilian readers, but now even more South American fans will be able to read my fic. That’s pretty exciting!

That’s all my news for now. Now, it’s spotlight time! The lucky features for this month are:

Now that all of this stuff is done, it’s time for me to dig into my monthly spotlights. Expect to see those in a few weeks! And, near the end of the month, I plan to post a recs list of what I consider to be the “essential” hanics. So stay tuned for both of those things! See you back here soon ๐Ÿ™‚

New layout!

New layout!

I’ve teased you guys with it enough, I decided it was finally time to put the new layout up! It still has a few kinks and I need to change some things on the various social media to match, but it’s here. It’s nice and clean and I think I like it.

Also, you may have noticed that the directory does not have 4000 links, like I said it did. That’s because, while I was adding the sites that pushed it over 4000, I noticed several duplicate and otherwise superfluous links. Whenever possible, I like to link to only full sites, not individual stories, and so I’ve begun the process of checking every link to get rid of things that don’t need to be there. It’s frustrating to see my total go down, but I hope this makes the directory more useful. If you guys ever spot a duplicate or broken link, let me know ๐Ÿ™‚

May reviews!

May reviews!

This has been a bit of trying month. I kept turning up missing chapters, even though I was sure I had checked that everything had been archived for every story. Apparently not! I ended up making two substitutions this month, and by complete coincidence both were written by girls named Angel. Oh well. The reviews are done, and that’s all that matters.

The final list of stories for this month is as follows:

Yes, I found an Anthem story to review, and I’ll have another one next month! But first, here are a few bonus reviews, including one of my own stories and a sequel I meant to read ages ago:

Now that all of those are done, here’s the list for next month:

And I have an Anthem era story this time, too! Check back in a month to see these reviews ๐Ÿ˜€

May (spotlight) flowers

May (spotlight) flowers

I apologize for the lame post title, but the spotlights are here!

May’s spotlights are:

Enjoy the spotlights, check back for the reviews in a few weeks and after that, enjoy Hanson Day if you’re going! I won’t be there, sadly, so you’ll all have to have fun for me, too. But I’m sure having fun at a MOE won’t be difficult ๐Ÿ˜‰
