August reviews!

August reviews!

This month, I went back to the beginning, and finally read and reviewed Close Your Eyes But Don’t Sleep by Lauryn. You will, naturally, find that review listed in the Middle of Nowhere era.

I also received a wonderful guest review from Aimster. You can find her review of Addicted by Abby Young listed in the Anthem era.

Also, don’t forge to check back Friday! That’s when the massive Anthem era Hall of Fame poll begins, and I’m going to need all of you to help out with it.

July review!

July review!

As I said on Twitter earlier today, I know I’ve been really silent here lately. Things have been super stressful in my real life, and unfortunately, I’ve let it affect the fic stuff. Fic can be an escape, and it is a lot of times, but sometimes when the stress gets too far under my skin, too emotional… it’s tougher to turn all of that off, or to even effectively channel that into fic.

Anyway! Enough about my life.

I’ve got one new review for you guys this month–Lost Without Each Other by KT. You’ll find that listed under the Anthem era.

I hope to soon start posting MOE era reviews, too, but I don’t suppose we can declare this new era officially started until the greatest hits album comes out (last I heard, September 8). I hope that date is correct, because I’m using it to plan when and how to update the Hall of Fame. I will be posting more about that within the next month, and I also hope to have some spotlights for you next month! So stay tuned for all of that.

She lives!

She lives!

I know, I’ve been really quiet for the past… yikes, it’s been a month. I can blame both Tulsa and work for that, as well as personal bullshit you guys don’t care about. But I’m back, and I have some reviews for you guys to make up for it!

Thanks to a wonderful fellow fan for sending it to me, I was able to review In Praise of the Vulnerable Man by Abby. You can find that under the Shout It Out era, and yes, that link does point to a downloadable PDF of this classic Zaylor fic.

Elizabeth also contributed reviews of the last two (for now) Kindred series fics: Kindred 11: The Psychopath and
Kindred 12: The Family, both by Aimster and listed under the Anthem era.

That’s it for now, and you can probably expect me to go quiet again as Camp NaNoWriMo begins next month.

May reviews!

May reviews!

It’s been such a crazy month, trying to get ready for the big trip, and it’s only going to get crazier. It’s a good thing I picked a short one this month!

You can head over to the reviews and check The Walk era for my review of Cotton Candy by Eva and Hayley. Elizabeth has also continued to review the Kindred series by Aimster, and you’ll find her review of Kindred 10: The Doctor in the Anthem era.

Pretty soon I’ll have to start a category for MOE era stories…

Until then, enjoy these reviews, check out some new fics and say hi if you see me in Tulsa!

April showers!

April showers!

Or something like that. I’ve been pretty busy this month, between NaNoWriMo and various things in my personal and professional life. So while I’ve had my review for this month done for a few days, I forgot to post it yesterday as I had planned.

In any case, it’s posted now. You can read my review of Barfight by Steps in the Underneath era section.

I also have a guest review this time. Elizabeth has continued reading and reviewing Aimster’s latest series, and you’ll find her review of Kindred 9: The Twins by Aimster in the Anthem era section.

Check back in a few weeks for new spotlights (I hope) and in a month for more reviews! I hope we’ll be starting the MOE era soon, and if so, there will be even more news here on the site. So keep an eye out for that as well, as soon as they give us a release date.
