It’s really, really hard to stay motivated about fanfic right now, you guys. I don’t want to get political here again. But. I can’t stay silent. What I can do is say this: your voice and your actions matter. So with that in mind, here are a few fandom-ish suggestions:
Donate to The Organization For Transformative Works. Yes, the people who brought us AO3. They also do some great legal work, including anything related to copyright laws that favor content creators and freedom of expression online.
Donate to The Harry Potter Alliance. They do tons of great work, and I promise I’m not just biased because some of their work benefits libraries.
Keep an eye out for Project For Awesome, which I’m sure will benefit some really good causes this year.
All of that said… time for the hanfic stuff. I have two guest reviews this month, both written by Elizabeth. You can find her reviews of Kindred 4: The Nerd by Aimster and

Not in one, though. Two separate things.
I’ve decided, at least for now, to post whatever reviews I have on exactly the fifteenth of each month. Once I get back to doing my own reviews, it could take longer to complete them, but I doubt that. And even though a few stories in series I was reading have been finished since August, I’ve decided to stick with my plan to be on a review hiatus until January.
But luckily my guest reviewers aren’t on my schedule. This month, Elizabeth has submitted a review of Kindred 3: The Musicians by Aimster. You’ll find that listed under the Anthem era.
Also, you may have noticed that I’ve added a new site to PTH. It’s a Christmassy, Secret Santa fic remix challenge. Because that’s not a mouthful or anything. It’s called Wintry Remix, and you can click that link to check it out. I know we’ve never done anything like it in hanfic before, but I think it could be really fun. Sign ups don’t start until October 27, so you still have time to give it some thought and maybe even finish a fic or two so that you qualify to participate.

And that’s it. No more mad reading binges every month. It’s a little sad and even weird to know it’s ending, but I’m not done posting reviews. I will post at least one review every month, though I have tentative plans to take a break until January 2017. That all depends on what gets finished between now and then. Starting then, or possibly sooner, I will post at least one of the following each month a) my own review of a recently completed story, b) my own review of an older story or c) a guest review of a fic from any era.
