New (and old) stuff!

New (and old) stuff!

If you girls and guys can tear yourselves away from the Hanson news long enough to browse PTH for a bit, I have some news for you!

Like the title says, I’ve got some new and old stuff. The directory has been updated with some new and new-to-me links, bringing the total closer and closer to 4000. Feel free to browse around there, but before you do, check out the story archives (link over there on the left). I’ve added three old favorites, one of which I’m very excited to have found. Check the page out, but I’ll tell you right now what the stories are:

  • Dark Clouds by Bree
  • Hush by Shelly
  • Journey Back To Normal by Kim

Pretty exciting, huh? Okay, it isn’t Cancun or a MOE, but I’m still pretty happy 😉

February reviews!

February reviews!

Yes, the February reviews are finally here! A few slight changes of plan, thanks to sequels that weren’t available and prequels I didn’t know existed.

There were some good ones this month, that’s for sure. Hopefully next month won’t take so long, though! The stories for next month are:

You’ll notice that there isn’t an Anthem era story listed there, and that’s because none of the other ones I’m currently reading have been finished! I’m keeping an eye out for one, but luckily I reviewed two in September, so I am a month ahead. Either way, check back in a few weeks for the spotlights and in a month for the next reviews.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I don’t know about you guys and girls, but it’s still freezing where I live. For the cheesiest holiday of the year, I thought I would give you a few stories sure to warm your hearts… and maybe a few other body parts as well.

*By Appointment Only — Starting out with something nice and steamy! This is one story I will promote until I’m blue in the face. It’s funny, sexy and definitely sweet and romantic, too. The idea of Zac and Taylor working as glorified hookers may seem odd, but I promise it’s worth reading.

*Damn It — A sweet little college AU with some humorous moments, some super sweet moments and one of the most adorable Zacs ever.

*Full Count — Zac as a professional baseball player? Why not?! Another cute, sweet and funny story about his relationship with the coach’s daughter.

*Glint of Heaven — A very old school but very sweet teenage romance set just before Hanson’s rise to fame. The protagonist, Clio, is just as fantastic as the story’s Taylor.

*Orange Sky — A sexy, smart, funny story. Chick lit at its best from Brittney.

Sorry for the slash and cest fans, but let’s be honest, those genres do angst so much better than they do fluff. But no worries — I’ll be back soon with a list of stories just for you!

February spotlights

February spotlights

I’m on top of the game this month! In spite of how busy I’ve been with my new job, I’ve got the spotlights done on time. You can thank all the snow days I’ve had this week for that.

With that said, the spotlights are:

In addition to that, I’ve been working on the Hanson category at Fanlore.org during my snow days. I’ve added pages for awards, stories and websites, and I still have a long list of things I want to add. The wiki is open to anyone to edit, so please do! Add stuff of your own or even edit some of the stuff I’ve added!

That’s it for now, but I’ll be back in two weeks with my monthly reviews and some romantic story recs just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Finally!

Finally!

My January reviews are finally here, but first I have some huge news for you guys.

Yesterday, I received an email from a fellow named Stephen. Who is that, you ask? Oh, just the guy who hosted Yellow Walkie Talkie. Yes, that is a link. Yes, it is right here on PTH. He asked me to host the site’s archives, which haven’t been actively updated or online at all since 2006, and of course I said yes. How could I not?! If you enjoyed the old site, stay tuned, because he’s still moving in.

Now, it’s review time! This month, I reviewed…

In addition to those reviews, I’ve posted another review from Elizabeth. This time, she’s reviewed my story Love and Other Socially Acceptable Emotions, and you can find her review on the Shout It Out era page.

Check back next month for some hopefully more timely reviews of the following stories:

And don’t forget to come back in less than two weeks for the spotlights… if I get them ready on time :/
