Reviews… finally!
You guys… this month’s reviews have given me fits. I can’t even begin to explain all the problems I had with them. And then, once I finally published the last review, I discovered that there’s a limit to how many items I can put in a drop down menu on WordPress. Unless I left stories off, I just had too many to list. So I had do away with the drop downs. Sorry for any inconvenience that causes.
At least the reviews are done, and yes, it is a different list than what I had previously posted. The stories are:
- Red Candy by Shortcake Cunningham
- If They Knew by Shelby
- Someone Special by Becca
- Just For Us by Auto
- Forgiveness by Amy C.
- A Guarded Heart by Robyn
To read the stories, click on the links above. To read the reviews, go here.
You’ll also notice a review from Paola has been added. She reviewed the story Look To The Stars, which I had previously reviewed. Hers is the second one listed, and provides a slightly different perspective from mine.
More on visitor contributions in a bit! First, the stories I plan to review next month:
- You Are My Hope and The Cream Filling by Jenny
- Angels Would Fall, More Than A Feeling and Crash Into Me by Morgan
- Fallen Angel Series by Ashley
- Imprisoned by Cassandra
- Antitdote by Renee C.
- The Better Days by Allie
And those are the last stories of my Year of Reviews! But… I’m doing a second year! I’ve added all of those stories to my reading list, so check that out. Some are re-reads, so they’re already listed as read. I’ll be adding Anthem era stories to the reviews as I can, hopefully adding up to twelve by the end of the second year of reviews.
Now that I’ve said all of that… let me get serious for a moment. I am so grateful to Paola for writing a review. She’s been a great supporter and contributor to the site, because I think she and I have a pretty similar way of interacting with hanfic. To some, I probably seem too serious about it, but that’s because this is how I enjoy things. I studied English. Being critical, studying things, dissecting them… that’s fun for me. It’s just what I do. I also have a serious DIY ethic. If I see something that needs to be done (such as creating a replacement for HansonFiction.com and Various Artists), and no one else is doing it, then I’ll do it. But I made this site for you guys — so when you see something missing, wrong or just something else that needs to be done, let me know! I can’t make this site everything to everyone, but with your help, I can make it a hell of a lot more awesome.
On that note, I’m done rambling… for now.
