A new year of reviews begins…
This year of reviews has gotten off to a stressful start. First, I found missing chapters and had to replace a story. Then, I was waiting nervously to see if an Anthem era story would be finished in time, and luckily one was. So the final list of stories for this month is:
- Reverse Obsession, The Dance and Shimmering by Julie T.
- Shall Be, Will Be, Can Be, Should Be, Could Be, May Be, Might Be and Am, Is, Are, Was, Were by Katie and Lisa
- ‘Cause You’re A God by Sunnie
- My Shining Star by Sunshine
- Lost Without Each Other by Carli and Lorrie
- Letting Go Is The Hardest Part by Amber
- Can’t Win For Losing by Elizabeth
In addition to my reviews, I have two bonus reviews from Elizabeth, of Bed of Lies by Brittney and Songs Left Unsung by yours truly. You can find those under the Strong Enough To Break and Shout It Eras, respectively.
Assuming nothing goes wrong, my schedule for next month is:
- Ups & Downs by The Author
- A Cry In The Dark by JoJo
- Parts of a Picture, Family Album and Wedding Portrait by Candystix
- The You In You by Diosa
- Time Goes On by Chelle
- Sibling Rivalry — The Beginning by Frances
- Panic In The Streets by Madden
I’ve also updated the directory today, so feel free to check that out. And check back in a few days for some exciting news about… well… you’ll see 😉

Hi Bethany, I always look foward for your reviews so I can read new han fics. I Just have a suggestion. Maybe you could link your reaview, and not the fan fiction website, or maybe just specify which era they belong to.
I’ve been asked to do this before, and I’ll tell you what I told them then. Because I review a story from each era each month, the stories are listed in these posts in chronological order. It does get confusing when, to use an example from this month, a story (Reverse Obsession) is written in one era and its sequels (The Dance and Shimmering) are written in the next era. I used to have the reviews page set up to display a drop down of all the reviews when you hovered over an era, but apparently there is a limit to how many you can have drop down.
Anyway, I prefer linking to the stories’ locations, and I don’t think it’s that difficult to puzzle out that the first one listed is MON era, the second one is TTA era, etc. You’ll note that when I have extra reviews that fall outside of my “one from each era” pattern, I do note the era because it isn’t intuitive to figure out then. I’m sorry if you find the way I list these reviews confusing, but it only requires a couple extra clicks to find the reviews. Perhaps I could come up with a way to neatly list the links to both the fics themselves and my reviews, but I haven’t figured that out yet…
