Reviews!

Reviews!

Another month, another set of reviews. A few of these were stories I’d read snippets of years and years ago, but had little to no memory of. It was fun to revisit those, and read some that were entirely new to me. The full list of reviews added for this month are:

I just realized that I reviewed stories by two authors with the same name as me! Weird, huh? Anyway, on the chopping block for next month are the following:

And March seems to be the month of authors whose names start with K! I swear I don’t plan these “themes;” they just seem to happen. I’m really looking forward to several of those stories. Come back in a month to see what I have to say about them!

January Reviews

January Reviews

I feel like I’ve updated this blog a billion times this month! Okay, I know this is really only the third blog, but it still feels like a lot, especially when you consider that I used to let whole months go by with no blog at all. That radio silence is a thing of the past, though!

So, today’s blog is all about the reviews for this month. They are as follows:

No real changes there from my plan, I don’t believe. I have to say, I really enjoyed quite a few of these stories. There hasn’t been a month yet when I didn’t add at least one story to my favorites, though.

So, what’s on the menu for next month? The following stories:

There might be a few changes there from my initial plan, but other than listing the stories as “To Read” on here, I haven’t really shared that plan with anyone. It looks like February is going to be the month of slash — all kinds of slash! So I’m looking forward to that for sure, as I felt like I really haven’t represented slash and cest very well in these reviews so far.

I think that’s just about it for this blog. I’m still working to get the new directory ready for February, but it’s still not looking good. I don’t think any of you would mind if I just post some old story pdfs for you instead, would you?

December reviews

December reviews

These have been done for a while, but I’ve been busy with other things (a HUGE directory update that probably won’t even be ready by January!) and kept forgetting to post them. So, here they are now. The reviewed stories for December were…

Some of these stories were absolutely amazing! I’m not really surprised; they came highly recommended and were some of the big classics. Hopefully I’ll enjoy January’s stories just as much. I have a feeling I will. And what are January’s stories?

Full disclosure: one of these stories is a re-read and another is written by one of my best friends. So I think it’s safe to say this is going to be another good month 😉

Tiny review update (and some other news)

Tiny review update (and some other news)

I don’t know that any of you would actually notice the difference, but I wanted to make a little note here about a slight change I made to the review section today. I realized I had one story in the wrong era, so I moved it and added another review to the first era to keep things even. That way, I’ll still have at least twelve stories in each era by the end of the year of reviews.

Basically, just a little OCD change to settle my mind. No big deal. But if you want to, feel free to click on the “Reviews” section thingy above and check out my review of Hate This Place by Alex and Chelsi.

Also, just wanted to give you guys a heads up that I have a new hostee moving in right now. I’ll give you all the details once she’s finished setting her site up.

Reviews and a slight rant.

Reviews and a slight rant.

As is becoming my tradition, the new reviews for November have been posted today. You can click on the little “Reviews” button up there or click here to read them. The six (okay, seven) stories for this month were:

You may notice that’s a slightly different list than the one I gave last month. I added an extra Underneath Era review because I didn’t like my original plan to do sequels separately, as I did in September and October. Consider that extra one me playing catch-up. More on the other changes in a moment. The stories up for review in December are as follows, belows the read more link:
