Happy December!

Happy December!

I don’t know if you guys are aware of this, but this month marks the four year anniversary of this site. I bought the domain on a whim after my previous attempt at a big hanfic site crashed and burned and Llama had just announced the closing of HansonFiction.com. It was bought on December 5 and by December 9 I’d thrown together some content and a quick layout that looked something like this. Okay, exactly like that.

Anyway, in honor of that anniversary, I thought I would be totally self centered and feature myself as the spotlight! Here’s the full list of December spotlights:

Happy four years, guys! Here’s to at least two more, since that’s how long my latest domain name renewal lasts.

Some updates and changes.

Some updates and changes.

If you guys have been paying attention, you’ll notice things have been in flux on PTH for the past few weeks. I don’t want to say too much about it, but suffice it to say, I’ve taken steps to make the site MUCH more secure.

All of that pushed me to finally do some fiddling with the site’s sections as well, so you may notice that the layouts look a little bit (or in two cases a lot) different. I’ve also done some big updates to the directory today, bringing it up to a whopping 3783 links. Wow!

Stay tuned in a few days for the December spotlights and, following that, the December reviews. I may also have a few little Christmas surprises planned…

Taking a break from NaNoWriMo…

Taking a break from NaNoWriMo…

…to post these reviews! As usual, things deviated a bit from what I had planned, so the stories I actually reviewed this month are as follows:

And next month, amidst editing my NaNo novel, I’ll be reviewing these:

December should be a good month! Come back then to see these reviews.

New hostee!

New hostee!

Hey, guys. No, it’s not time for the new reviews. I’m still working on those, and thanks to NaNoWriMo, they may be a bit delayed. But I have other news for you today!

A few days ago, Ada contacted me about hosting her fic, and of course I said yes. She’s still in the process of moving in, but you can visit her site The Songbird by clicking on that link right there.

So enjoy her site, and check back in a few days for the reviews 🙂

November spotlights

November spotlights

I hope you guys enjoyed my Halloween treats yesterday! Now that it’s November, that means two things. One, it’s time for NaNoWriMo to consume my life. Two, it’s time for more monthly spotlights.

Here are the lucky ones this month:

The website spotlight is my newest affiliate, and they’re off to a great start. If you’re bilingual (English and Portuguese) you’ll have an easier time navigating their website to find linked, hosted and archived fics in both languages. And I heard a little rumor they plan to celebrate “Ikevember” in a big way with some fics about the Old Man himself, so check back for that.
