December reviews

December reviews

These have been done for a while, but I’ve been busy with other things (a HUGE directory update that probably won’t even be ready by January!) and kept forgetting to post them. So, here they are now. The reviewed stories for December were…

Some of these stories were absolutely amazing! I’m not really surprised; they came highly recommended and were some of the big classics. Hopefully I’ll enjoy January’s stories just as much. I have a feeling I will. And what are January’s stories?

Full disclosure: one of these stories is a re-read and another is written by one of my best friends. So I think it’s safe to say this is going to be another good month 😉

Happy anniversary!

Happy anniversary!

I had to look at my old posts on LiveJournal to be sure of this, but as I suspected, today is the three year anniversary of PTH! It’s hard to believe it’s been that long, but it has.

I bought this domain on a whim way back in 2009. I owned a “personal” domain that hosted my hanfic and graphics and things, but I wanted something more Hansony. I’d tried to start another site with an acquaintance and it hadn’t worked out. When I saw that Hansonfiction.com was going offline and I couldn’t reach the owner to purchase it for myself, I knew I had to quickly buy that Hanson domain I’d been dreaming of. Within a matter of about three days, PTH.net was mine and I’d thrown together a layout for it.

It’s been through a lot of incarnations since then, bringing it to the site you see today. There’s still plenty of changes I could make and have planned to make, but I’m happy with how far I’ve come. I hope that you guys will always enjoy the site and everything I put into it to always keep improving it.

Old content?

Old content?

Technically, my addition for December, which I have finally added today, isn’t new. In fact, it’s really pretty old.

What the hell does that mean, you ask?

Well, I’ve been collecting lots of pdfs of old hanfics for a few years, and I decided it wasn’t fair to keep them to myself. I’ve uploaded them before, to Megaupload, before it ceased to exist, and I’ve emailed them to people who asked for specific stories. But I thought it would be a good service to you guys to provide them right here on the site. Hopefully it doesn’t tax my Mediafire account too much and they will stay available. You can find them over there to the right under “Story Archives.”

So that’s the news for today. I’ll be back in a week or so with my reviews for the month, and let me tell you — so far, they are very good!

December updates!

December updates!

Okay, it’s barely December, but I couldn’t wait any longer to begin my updates for this month. As always, I’ve posted the monthly spotlights. They are as follows:

I’ve also updated the directory, as I tend to do at the beginning of a new month.

In addition to that, I have a new hostee to announce! With the closing of AITP, Brittney asked me to host the archives of her challenge, The Spark Inside. So it’s here now and you can click here to visit.

I’ve got a few more little surprises for you guys this month, but they’ll have to wait until I can steal some unlimited wifi. Doesn’t that sound intriguing?

Tiny review update (and some other news)

Tiny review update (and some other news)

I don’t know that any of you would actually notice the difference, but I wanted to make a little note here about a slight change I made to the review section today. I realized I had one story in the wrong era, so I moved it and added another review to the first era to keep things even. That way, I’ll still have at least twelve stories in each era by the end of the year of reviews.

Basically, just a little OCD change to settle my mind. No big deal. But if you want to, feel free to click on the “Reviews” section thingy above and check out my review of Hate This Place by Alex and Chelsi.

Also, just wanted to give you guys a heads up that I have a new hostee moving in right now. I’ll give you all the details once she’s finished setting her site up.
