Reviews!

Reviews!

Another month, another set of reviews. A few of these were stories I’d read snippets of years and years ago, but had little to no memory of. It was fun to revisit those, and read some that were entirely new to me. The full list of reviews added for this month are:

I just realized that I reviewed stories by two authors with the same name as me! Weird, huh? Anyway, on the chopping block for next month are the following:

And March seems to be the month of authors whose names start with K! I swear I don’t plan these “themes;” they just seem to happen. I’m really looking forward to several of those stories. Come back in a month to see what I have to say about them!

New month, new stuff!

New month, new stuff!

You guys know what today is, right? It’s the beginning of a brand new month, which means two things here at PTH — new monthly spotlights and new monthly content. The content for this month is big, so this is going to be a long post.

First, the spotlights! Featured this month are:

And under the read more link, you’ll see the new content.

January Reviews

January Reviews

I feel like I’ve updated this blog a billion times this month! Okay, I know this is really only the third blog, but it still feels like a lot, especially when you consider that I used to let whole months go by with no blog at all. That radio silence is a thing of the past, though!

So, today’s blog is all about the reviews for this month. They are as follows:

No real changes there from my plan, I don’t believe. I have to say, I really enjoyed quite a few of these stories. There hasn’t been a month yet when I didn’t add at least one story to my favorites, though.

So, what’s on the menu for next month? The following stories:

There might be a few changes there from my initial plan, but other than listing the stories as “To Read” on here, I haven’t really shared that plan with anyone. It looks like February is going to be the month of slash — all kinds of slash! So I’m looking forward to that for sure, as I felt like I really haven’t represented slash and cest very well in these reviews so far.

I think that’s just about it for this blog. I’m still working to get the new directory ready for February, but it’s still not looking good. I don’t think any of you would mind if I just post some old story pdfs for you instead, would you?

New monthly content, finally!

New monthly content, finally!

As promised, here is the rather delayed new content for January.

So, what have I got for you? Five new/old stories added to the archives! Which stories?

  • Fallon by Nat
  • He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not by Hayley
  • Lessons of a Laundry Mat Attendant by Mel
  • Regrets by Hayley
  • You Irritate Me by Nat

A few of those are quite high on my list of favorites, and most are ones I’ve reviewed or featured, so I’m glad to be able to make them available to you guys again. I have several more stories saved from the recently closed AITP.org so look for these story archive updates to become a reccurring part of the new monthly content.

The directory update is still the works, and with other things I have to work on (not all website related), I’m honestly not sure if it will even be ready by February. So next month’s content may be very similar to this month’s. But hopefully you all enjoy the new reading material; even if it isn’t really new, it might be new to someone.

That’s all for this time — stay tuned for next week, when I’ll be adding the January reviews!

Happy new year!

Happy new year!

I know I’m a little late, but happy new year, fansons!

2013 is going to be a big year for us, I think. Interest in hanfic always seems to wane at the end of an album cycle, and this one has been no exception. I had huge, high hopes for Shout It Out, and while hanfic did pick up during that summer and fall, we’ve hit some lows lately. That said, there are still new authors cropping up and the community, small though it may be, is still great to be part of. I don’t expect this new album (which we will hopefully know the title of soon) to cause any big explosion of popularity, but I have a feeling it will still be a good year for us all.

It’s a new month, too, which means new content for you guys. First, the somewhat delayed (as usual, it seems) monthly spotlights! They are as follows:

Read on to see what elese I’ve got new for you guys this month.
