Reviews and a slight rant.

Reviews and a slight rant.

As is becoming my tradition, the new reviews for November have been posted today. You can click on the little “Reviews” button up there or click here to read them. The six (okay, seven) stories for this month were:

You may notice that’s a slightly different list than the one I gave last month. I added an extra Underneath Era review because I didn’t like my original plan to do sequels separately, as I did in September and October. Consider that extra one me playing catch-up. More on the other changes in a moment. The stories up for review in December are as follows, belows the read more link:

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

First of all, happy Halloween to everyone! I know it’s late, but I couldn’t resist. It’s tied with Christmas for my favorite holiday (Candy and costumes vs. PRESENTS?! How could I choose???) so I had to add a little something about it to the site. It’s just a small little graphic with a pic of the boys in their costumes from last year, nothing super special. Apparently the pic only shows if you view the full post, though. Weird.

The new content for this month is, hopefully, a little more special than that. So without further ado, the monthly spotlights for November are:

Below the “read more” link, find out what else I’ve added to the site this month.

Updates and more updates

Updates and more updates

As I think I mentioned in my last post, I wanted to post each month’s reviews on or around the 15th of the month, rather than the 1st. At least for this month, I’ve managed to succeed at that. I guess in the future, it will depend on how quickly I can read the stories. Some of these stories have sequels, too, and I’ve decided that I don’t have the patience to wait to read those, so some months could take much longer than others.

Anyway, the October reviews are up. This month’s reviewed stories are Weeping Willow, My Father Taylor Hanson, The Divorce, California Living, Color of Love and Something To Believe In. Next month I’ll be reading Blond Over Blue, Surrealistic Emotions, Burn, A Man On The Moon, Music of the Dead and Stay With Me. My reading list has been updated to reflect all of this as well.

Lastly, I made a few little updates to the directory today. Nothing major; just a few additions and deletions.

Oh, and in other hanfic news, voting is now open for the last ever round of Christmas Time. Click on that link to go vote for your favorite stories from all the previous years.

And I think that’s it for this update. Enjoy! 🙂

New month, new stuff.

New month, new stuff.

As promised, I’m continuing to add new stuff with each new month. Here’s the lowdown on this month.

First of all, as always, the monthly spotlights. Featured this month:

I’ve also given a huge overhaul to the reviews section as my NEW content for this month. For more information about that, read on…

New stuff?

New stuff?

I bet some of you are surprised to see this post, since it isn’t the first of the month yet. But I decided to go ahead and post a few things early, since I had so many things I wanted to update. So, what’s new today?

First of all, I’ve added two new hostees. The first is Amber’s story Standing in the Rain, which she wrote for Taking The Leap. The second is Diamond’s website, Mirage, which she has decided to re-open. I have another one in the works but it isn’t quite ready to debut yet.

Because of those new hostees and a few other links I’ve found, the directory has been given a little update as well. I still can’t believe there are over 3000 links listed!

If you’re reading my fic, you’ll also notice that I’ve updated my website today, too.

That’s it for now, but I have a lot planned to post in a few days. Of course there are the monthly spotlights, but I also have planned a huge update to the reviews section. In order to cross a few stories off my to read list and give that section a makeover, I’ll be reading six stories (one from each era) every month for the foreseeable future. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to stop when the new album comes out or go for a full year. Whichever happens last, I suppose. I’ve already read the first six stories and those reviews will be posted soon. My reading list has been updated to reflect what I’m actually reading for this project, so check that out.

Lastly, this isn’t anything of mine, but I do want to let everyone know that Renee is running Trick or Treat again, and signups start soon. So check it out! I’ll be signing up.
