No, it’s not spotlights for February. Nor is it my February reviews, although I promise those will be posted in just a few days.
I have finally, after a bit of procrastinating and rewriting, posted my analysis of my recent hanfic preferences survey. I don’t know if it’s all that interesting to anyone who isn’t as nerdy as me, but in case it is, it’s posted.
I’ve also finally updated the trivia page (link over there in the sidebar) with some new stats, some based on the survey. Some of those may be more interesting than the tropes stuff.
And that’s it for today. Check back later this week for reviews!
In case you guys haven’t noticed, I’m a big nerd. There are two things I’m guaranteed to geek out over: names and statistics.
So why not combine the two?!
Head over to the Articles section to see a huge research project I put together about female names in hanfic. If you’ve ever wondered what names are the most popular in hanfic, now you can know! I hope you all enjoy the result just as much as I enjoyed the research 🙂
If you guys have been paying attention, you’ll notice things have been in flux on PTH for the past few weeks. I don’t want to say too much about it, but suffice it to say, I’ve taken steps to make the site MUCH more secure.
All of that pushed me to finally do some fiddling with the site’s sections as well, so you may notice that the layouts look a little bit (or in two cases a lot) different. I’ve also done some big updates to the directory today, bringing it up to a whopping 3783 links. Wow!
Stay tuned in a few days for the December spotlights and, following that, the December reviews. I may also have a few little Christmas surprises planned…
That seems like an appropriate title, given how much new content I have for you guys today. Here’s the gist of it all:
Firstly, of course, I have new spotlights. They are as follows.
To see the rest of the new stuff, keep reading.

Recently I had to reinstall Windows on my laptop. It was a sad day indeed, but I saw it coming soon enough that I was able to buy an external hard drive and save (the majority of) my files. Since then, I’ve been tediously sorting through all of them and reorganizing them into new folders. I happened upon a file with the highly informative name “Document.rtf” which contained some of my very first thoughts and ideas for this site.
I have clearly not followed through on my idea to post recs lists. Oops.
