New year, new stuff!

New year, new stuff!

Happy new year!

As you all know, I always post new spotlights on the first of every month. This month is no different, and the spotlights for January 2014 are:

But that’s not all! Since this is a new year, I decided to add a bunch more new stuff. Here’s a quick rundown of what I’ve done over the last day or so:

  • Updates and edits to several pages, including crossovers, glossary, hall of fame, reading list and tropes
  • The full year of 2013 has been added to the timeline page
  • Hostees and affiliates are updated
  • New buttons and screenshots of old layouts were added to the site page
  • Medium sized directory update with several brand new links

Seems like there was something else… hmm… oh yeah! The new layout! It’s pretty similar to all the old ones, but the navigation is on the left this time, because why not? There are still a few things I want to tweak about it, so don’t be surprised if you come back in a day or two and things look a tiny bit different.

I think that’s it for this time, but I’ll be back in about two weeks with the January reviews, so come back then 🙂

No April Fools here!

No April Fools here!

Well, it’s nothing compared to Hanson’s news today, but I couldn’t let them get in the way of my big, first of the month updates!

As always, there are new spotlights today. This month, the focus is on:

  • Author: Aimster
  • Story: The Bodyguard by Team Zaylor
  • Website: RPS Fanfiction

I’m really excited about all of those, so hurry up and head on over here to check them out. You may notice that’s a slightly different url, and a brand new layout. Like the directory, I’ve converted the spotlights to WordPress. It’s all basically the same as before, but the author interviews are now posted like a blog, so you can click through them, viewing “previous” and “next” interviews. Other than that, the navigation is the same. So check that out!

What else is new this month? Read on to find out!

Updates and more updates

Updates and more updates

As I think I mentioned in my last post, I wanted to post each month’s reviews on or around the 15th of the month, rather than the 1st. At least for this month, I’ve managed to succeed at that. I guess in the future, it will depend on how quickly I can read the stories. Some of these stories have sequels, too, and I’ve decided that I don’t have the patience to wait to read those, so some months could take much longer than others.

Anyway, the October reviews are up. This month’s reviewed stories are Weeping Willow, My Father Taylor Hanson, The Divorce, California Living, Color of Love and Something To Believe In. Next month I’ll be reading Blond Over Blue, Surrealistic Emotions, Burn, A Man On The Moon, Music of the Dead and Stay With Me. My reading list has been updated to reflect all of this as well.

Lastly, I made a few little updates to the directory today. Nothing major; just a few additions and deletions.

Oh, and in other hanfic news, voting is now open for the last ever round of Christmas Time. Click on that link to go vote for your favorite stories from all the previous years.

And I think that’s it for this update. Enjoy! 🙂

Long overdue

Long overdue

That’s exactly what this blog post is!

As many of you probably know, I went to the Tulsa MOE. That’s why the May spotlights didn’t happen; I just had other things on my mind. But now I’m back, with June spotlights, a directory update, a reading list update, and some new chapters over on Extemporaneous.

I’ve also been talking to someone about hosting her stories, but it’s still in the works. I’ll let you guys now when it’s a done deal.

I know this isn’t much of a blog, but oh well. If you want to know a little more about where I stand, writing wise, right now, check out the blog I just posted on Extemporaneous.
