Reviews and other news

I don’t want to say much else (I’ve talked a lot on Twitter) about what’s been going on here at PTH, but surely anyone who has visited over the last two weeks has noticed a lot of downtime. It would appear that the site has been hacked, and I’ve done my best to get things back to normal. All I can say now is that I hope they remain that way.

With that out of the way, let’s talk about some actual updates!

To make up for some of my laziness over the past year, I decided to start this year out with a big series to review. My reviews of The Kindred Series by Aimster can be found under the Anthem and MOE eras.

I’ve also made a slight tweak to the MOE era — Elizabeth’s review of Beneath My Skin by Aimster can now be found in that section.

Check back soon for more updates, and please, if you notice anything looking weird on the site, let me know! It took me way too long to discover the problem and I might have been able to fix it sooner if I had been aware sooner. Which really just means I need to get back to checking in on and updating the site more regularly, like I used to, rather than just checking in a few times a month. I guess that’s a good new year’s resolution!

Happy new year!

Happy new year!

Much like I just posted over on Extemporaneous, this has been a pretty blah year for me hanfic-wise and I don’t really feel like posting a big yearly recap.

Somehow, I’ve manged to put just the bare minimum effort to keep this site open. That really isn’t fair to all of you guys out there visiting–and my hit counter shows that, while visits have been slacking a bit this year too, there are still a lot of you. For such an amazing year for the band and their music, it wasn’t so great for me, an I hate that I let that be reflected in how I ran this site.

I don’t have any big plans to do anything new or different in 2018, but I promise it will be a better year! I’m working on some changes to the PTH tumblr, and have also updated the trivia and timeline pages right here. Check back soon for more… whatever that more turns out to be.

End of the year review!

End of the year review!

I know, I’m running super later this year. Although it took me longer than usual, I did truly enjoy the fic I reviewed this month. You can read my review of South Street by Jess in The Walk era.

Check back in a few days to see all the revealed Wintry Remix fics, and check back after that for my year-end wrap-up stuff, including updates to the timeline and trivia pages!

Review time!

Review time!

In the middle of NaNoWriMo, I have somehow found time to get some reading done, too.

For November, I’ve reviewed You Are A Drug And It Is Quick by Juliet, one that I’ve been anxious to read for a while now. You can read what I thought of it under the Anthem era.

I’ve also added Elizabeth’s latest review, which is of Kindred: A Moment In Time, 2002 by Aimster. You’ll find that under the brand new Middle of Everywhere era.

Check back soon for some end of the year updates and more!

Trick or treat or something…

Trick or treat or something…

It’s October! How fast is this year going by? I just realized today that not only is NaNo coming up, and for once, I may not even be able to participate, let alone try to participate and fail, but if I’m going to bring back Wintry Remix for a second year, it’s time to get going on it. So keep an eye out for more information about that coming soon.

Anyway, it’s review time, and for this month I’ve reviewed Dividing Reality by Selina. You can find that listed under the Strong Enough To Break era.

Even more exciting, I have my first Middle of Everywhere era review this month. Elizabeth has reviewed Remember Me by KT.

Check back soon for more about any potential holiday hanfic plans!
